Our new Germany trip features the world’s largest wine festival, Bad Dürkheimer Wurstmarkt, and is unlike anything we’ve done in the past. We will travel uniquely via carriage, ship, cable car, funicular railroad, and bus. With the eyes of local gourmets leading the way, we promise this tour will be an experience you won’t forget. So, sit back, relax, and let’s get ready to sip and savor our way through Central Germany.
Our journey begins…
The unforgettable journey begins in the Rheingau wine region with a leisurely lunch near the Rhine river. We will start our tour at a local winery, where we’ll taste the region’s finest wines and indulge in some of Germany’s best regional foods. From there, we will board a carriage and take a leisurely ride through the picturesque countryside. Get your camera ready as we take in the rolling hills, vineyards, and quaint Bavarian villages.
After a quaint breakfast, our next day will be spent exploring the Niederwald monument and scenic Assmannshausen. Jump on a cable car ride up to the city’s highest point for some breathtaking views! Further, Bechtel Frey will open its doors to us and allow us to taste more of the region’s finest wines.
On day three of our charming journey, we will visit Heidelberg, where history meets modern day enchantment. After days of savoring local boutique wines, we will detour to a brewery followed by a ride on Heidelberg Mountain Railway and guided castle tour.
We will then treat you to a relaxing spa day retreat at Caracalla spa, followed by lunch in a local restaurant and a ride the Merkur funicular railway to the mountain! And of course no tour is complete without a charming dinner at the castle and winery.
The following days will be spent partaking in cooking classes, touring museums, savoring local cuisine and indulging in more wine tastings across Central Germany! And of course, no trip to Germany is complete without experiencing the world’s largest wine festival, Bad Dürkheimer Wurstmarkt. Here, we’ll enjoy live music, carnival rides, and endless wine tastings, all set in the beautiful town of Bad Dürkheim.
