Sipping Through Fall

Wine Guide

The air smells like rain and fallen leaves. It is getting crispier and cooler all around. Fall is the perfect season to enjoy in the company of some delicious wine! Cheers! As you decorate your home for the fall season, plan your holiday festivities and perhaps the dinner menu too – don’t forget to update your wines and switch to fall favors!

What are fall wine flavors you ask? Fall isn’t just the red wine season. It’s full-bodied white wine season too. Pay attention to a wine’s color, and you’ll notice darker wines tend to be bolder. But there are also other aspects that help a wine reach the “full-bodied” definition. Mouthfeel, flavor, and structure are elements that go into making a full-bodied red wine.

So what full bodied wines should you have available in your home this season? Here are just a few that are absolute must-haves:

  1. Petite Syrah
  2. Shiraz
  3. Syrah
  4. Malbec
  5. Merlot

Vinera Wine Society is a wine club for world travelers. Drinking wine is an adventure and one we fully intend to take you on! This fall, be sure to stock up on all your favorite full-bodied wines from Vinera Wine Society, below are just a few of our favorites:

Merlot / Syrah “Viaggiatore”

Malbec / Cabernet Franc / Syrah Grand Reserva “Celestino Maximus”

And for those looking for something a little more magical and unique this fall, look no further than the red wines of Sicily.
